Hello Everyone!

As a huge EWU fan, former mascot, and Alum, I have followed these boards for a few years, but never bothered to register or post. I have enjoyed the conversations here, and love following the board. I also spend time reading our weekly opponent's board, but also never post. That is a thing of the past!

I live in Las Vegas and flew in this year to go to the WSU game with friends and family. Cedar City is about 3 hours away and I have my tickets for my second EWU game of the year. Is anyone going? I have driven by on the freeway, but never been in the city. Does anyone have any experience there? What's the tailgate scene like? Should I show up just before kickoff or plan to arrive early? It's an early game, so I'd rather not get up extra early if the pre-game scene is weak. I plan to post on the SUU board as well.

Thanks for the help! Go Eags!

Swoop;
Being Swoop is like being a champion, you will always be Swoop.
We have two things in common,
1. I don't know anything about game day in Cedar City.
2. I will be there as well. I'll be in Henderson Thur and Friday and drive to Cedar.
Go Eagles

Been to games at Cedar City, absolutley no tailgate atmosphere, bookstore was closed on gameday had to end up going to Walmart just to get a hat ! Freezing cold with snow flurries all the way up and back to Vegas, it may even be a dry town, not sure ! If you want to tailgate bring some friends thats about the size of it. GOEAGS

Been to Cedar City, it's not a dry town. Drank at a local pub and played pool. Left my license there at the bar and continued on my road trip to MTV Spring break @ Lake Havasu. That was about 15 years ago! :D

Enjoy your number one Eags beating SUU!

Thanks for representing!

Went to the game there a few years ago and forgot about the time difference so I was going by our posted start time which meant we got there an hour earlier than intended ... It was absolutely deserted! No tailgating, no people. It is a nice little stadium but be prepared for cold weather! It was sunny when the game started, by the end of the first quarter, the wind was howling and it was snowing, hard. The town is small and quiet, even on game day.

Have fun and cheer loudly! Go Eags!
