Texas A&M has the 12th Man, which is essentially a non-scholarship student who plays on special teams. Why don't the Hornets open up the kicking position to any student who wants to kick during a game, every week we could have a new student be our FG and PAT kicker.

It would give the students a chance to show their stuff, while at the same time give us a better kicking option than what we have presently.

This is a serious question with a hint of sarcasm.

Recall ESPN reporting that Coach June Jones at SMU at some point put ads in newspapers looking for kickers when the program was in need for SMU students to step up and come out and give kicking a try.

Interesting idea! Just be sure that the would be kickers know that the object is to kick the ball up between goal posts and not into the backs of the offensive linemen!
