This is a big one. Grad Transfer, Middle Tennessee (C-USA) starting QB, Asher O'hara (and his brother) JUCO LB Jace O'hara just committed to Troy Taylor and Co. This is a pretty big get when it comes to a graduate transfer. Asher put up extremely respectable numbers at the FBS level even though his team didn't exactly find success. A true Dual-Threat QB so he fits Taylor's system like a glove.

As a grad transfer, he has one year remaining. So he wouldn't have transferred to the program (no connection to Sacramento as he's from Illinois) without thinking that he could win the starter job this upcoming Fall.

Going into the season, I was expecting Kaiden Bennett to challenge Jake Dunniway for the starting job even though he's still raw and just transferred in himself. Not only that, Yaro Duvalko was a fairy high recruited player waiting for a shot. He was the first QB out of HS recruited by Taylor and his staff since coming here. Not only that, we have Dorian Hale from De La Salle coming in also. This QB room battle will be really interesting. Do we know if someone has decided to transfer out? As of today, there are 5 current QB's on the Hornets' roster, there would be 7 QB's in the room next year with the two new addition. I think AO will eventually end up win the starting QB for 2021 Fall season, graduate, and KB takes over for the 2022 Fall season.

1 Kaiden Bennett QB 5-11 185 Fr. TR Sparks, Nev. / Nevada
12 Jake Dunniway QB 6-1 210 Jr. 1V Tracy, Calif. / San Diego Mesa JC
7 Yaro Duvalko QB 6-3 180 Fr. HS Vancouver, Wash. / Skyview HS
6 Jayden Machado QB 6-1 204 Jr. JC Elk Grove, Calif. / Sacramento City JC
8 Tristan Meyer QB 6-0 190 Jr. 2V La Mirada, Calif. / La Mirada HS

Swarm I read an article written by a TN newspaper that indicated the NCAA granted an extra year for everyone and that he would still be an RJR with 2 seasons left. He was 2nd team all C-USA at QB this year though.

You are correct, he’s got two years of eligibility left. It’s going to be interesting with such a loaded room. Blood in the water after Thomson’s departure. Should be exciting!
