The writing on the wall is pretty clear. We just lost to the second worst team in the Big Sky (Weber is at the bottom). With this team and talent, there is no reason for the paltry W/L record. Last night was another example of poor coaching decisions. I appreciate Coach Duft giving it a go and really wish him the best going forward, but it is time for a change. It has been a long time since the school had to go through a coaching search for Men's Basketball. Last time, we struck gold. Coach Rahe rejuvenated Wildcat Basketball. One could argue that with Dillon Jones and the talent on the team now, that the Cats would have had a better W/L record and perhaps another championship if he was the HC. He isn't.
A few questions:
1. Is the HC position for Weber State Basketball, still a highly sought after position?
2. Does NIL seriously affect how the school seeks a coach?
3. What type of resources are available?
4. Who might be interested?
5. How do we rebuild a once great tradition (it has been a long time since Weber went dancing)?
6. Does the conference postseason tournament hurt the Wildcats (I'm a definite YES)?
