Nightmare Basketball Season

Will this basketball season ever end??? Both men and women are on their way to establishing record seasons for losing. They have won a whopping 3 conference games between the two teams. I understand the whole coaching fiasco in December but man, an 11 game losing streak? And the women?? what's their excuse? They have the most talented group of players, athleticism, solid size compared to the rest of the conf. Why do they suck so bad? They took a top 15 team in the nation to double overtime yet they get blown out by Portland State? they haven't won 1 game on the road this season....NOT ONE SINGLE GAME.

Sorry for being so pissed off, but this is just ridiculous. At times both teams play worse than some high school teams I've seen. Let's just forfeit the rest of the season, fire all coaches, get rid of the non productive players, and start over from scratch. At this point I don't know who's at fault. Does anybody remember a time when both programs were so bad?

Hey, King. I started following NAU hoops around 1990-1991 when I was a kid. Things have improved since then (pre-Howland) more than I think you know. This has been a rough year. All kinds of problems and hurdles for these kids to take on. But the basketball program is still in better shape now than it was when I became a fan.

Changes always occur on a team going thru a coaching change and this will definitely be an eventful offseason. But I don't condone "burning it down and starting from scratch". There's an abundance of youth on these teams. I have faith.

I'm sad for the players that it has been this kind of season and that's not how I want college basketball to make me feel but win or lose, I'm still following and cheering em on. Go Jacks!

Last night after watching the games, I was very disappointed, that's not saying I'm going to give up on the teams or stop following them on, it's just frustrating to watch, specially the woman's team. There is so much to build upon and watching 20-30 point blow outs by teams with less talent just doesn't make much sense.

I'm frustrated as you can tell by my previous post, but NAU will always be my #1 team in all sports. I'm a lumberjack for life no matter the situation, just need to vent from time to time :thumb:
