This is purely my theory, but I think there is a slight chance that Weber will end up being a sixth seed playing Nevada who will be a three seed. That, in all honesty, is the best possible scenario for travel.

i know usu has been in a lot of nit's. i can recall 2 they had at home being hawaii and montana state. 2 most recent i believe were at illinois state and at michigan. but that was before econ downturn. maybe they will try hard with locality when seeding. there isnt much on that list that is anywhere close to here.

Yeah, I only saw New Mexico State and Nevada...I'm guessing a couple PAC-10ers end up getting in.

Talking about the PAC0-10, Wow that conference is awful right now. I watched Washington vs. Oregon St last night. AWFUL!!
I found myself agreeing with the Egrizzers who said they got screwed out of a win at UW in December. Thats the only way UW could have beaten them.

Weber is good enough to win in the NIT, but it will depend upon their hearts and heads. If they are too disillusioned and disappointed, it will be a quick exit. If they play with intensity and heart, they can win. Like my grandma used to say: Attitude determines altitude.

Today its saying that Weber is a 7 and that Arizona State is a 2... could be a good matchup

Merely speculation at the moment but if this happens, and anyone here on the Wildcat board decides to head south to Tempe, let me know as I'd love to watch some hoops with any fellow Big Sky team fans.

I go to a few ASU games each year and really like what Herb Sendek is building in Tempe but I'd be a WSU fan in this case.

I think the opening round of the NIT is next Tuesday and Wednesday (16th and 17th) and I'm pretty sure I can do either night with my schedule.

Addes bonus: Wednesday night will be St. Patty's Day on Mill Ave by ASU with a fun and reasonably authentic little Irish pub called Rula Bula within walking distance of ASU's campus.

We shall see what transpires on Sunday. That's when bids are announced, right?

On Nit-ology it has Weber as a 7 playing 2 Illinois. I don't really mind this matchup either. Illionois didn't pay the toughest OCC, and lost to a number of patsies. One team to was Utah, who just proves to Weber fans that Illinois is definitely beatable.

are we supposed to assume where the teams are lined up means something? i dont think it does. i think they are just grouped together.

With Utah St losing tonight, and some of the upsets in conference tournaments (Houston to name one), I'm not sure the Aggies will get an at large. If not, will the NIT send Weber north to Logan for a third game with the Aggies?

NITology.com is pretty accurate if you look at years past, all of which are on the site. Last year they had it 97% correct, i think the yr before was 93% correct. Right now it hasn't been updated since Friday so things should have changed.

Assumming the teams in the predicted seeds are right...can we beat any of these teams? We are picked to be a 7 seed, the below are the 2 seeds.
