Opportunity is opening for FCS teams, counting Vikings if a miracle occurred. USU and Idaho are done for good, they don't stand a chance at meeting that requirement!

That'll make it easier for the MWC to take the 3 best schools out of the WAC.

I'm not getting too excited, as there seem to be alot of loopholes for teams wanting to stay above the 15k mark. Haven't schools like Idaho played "home" games against Washington State in Pullman and Seattle?
In my opinion, the 15k minimum for FBS status is a good thing for both FBS and FCS, but I doubt we'll see it actually used to bump a team down for a long time.

If I recall, the schools must average 15,000 in home game attendance once in a rolling two-year period to be in compliance. Once warned, I think the school has a period of time to bring it up. Like you said, there are a lot of loopholes.

There was a list of schools that were recently (past year or so) warned by the NCAA that was published. I recall schools like Temple, Akron, Florida Atlantic, and Eastern Michigan being on that list...

BTW, NMSU has New Mexico at home this year. The road fans will probably push the average over the top.
