Speaking of banners, would someone up at the University go hang a damn 08-09 banner already. That's really pissing me off.

During the glory years we were awfully proud of our banners hanging up in the DEC. WHERE THE HELL IS THE 2009 BANNER? We only went 15-1. Is the school waiting for a discount in ordering the banners in bulk? That is a absolute disrespect to the 2009 and what about the 2010 team?

Agreed....

WHERE THE HELL IS THE BANNER!!

I know Weber changed AD's but that isn't a valid excuse not to hang up a banner or to forget about a conference championship. Also, Why hasn't a sign or banner been made for the football stadium? Come on SID, isn't this your job?

after driving home to Boise, and thinking about our team , and what everyone else has lost, like Idaho State, it's whole front line and backups, whole backcourts, we at Weber just recruited what we didn't have, size, I'm really excited about 6'2" Bamford, 5'11" Richardson 6'10" Tresnak 6'9'' Hejak, 6'7'' Fulton and 6'5'' Davis....6'3" Porter, and 6'3" Coro just what the doctor ordered new shooters new year and we already are so loaded with vets...Im so excited about Coach Rahe and the direction were going 3 titles 4 years, and endless... would love an nit victory, just for good measure...Go Wildcats..Disappointed , a little, but , still excited about being a wildcat ..

Speaking of Coro, where was he? I didn't see him at either game?

Fatcat, thank you for your post. That is the attitude we all need right now.

I'm glad you brought up ISU, but lets talk a little about Montana. Yes, they won last night, but what do they have coming back? Taylor (Way to get a player from Eastern Washington), Cherry (he wasn't as good as UM fans claimed), Qvale (he is very inconsistent), Selving (if he gets hit hard, I'm afraid he'll be broken for good), Ward, Stockton, and Young... If I was a UM basketball fan I'd be happy with what AJ accomplished (lets all be realistic, UM didn't win last night, AJ did) this season, without him, they are toast.

no way i think they will still be top 3. infact they have been picked 2nd in teh polls the last 4 yrs, my bold prediction is they will be picked 2nd behind us. 3rd? nau/unc?

hate to disagree, but I think Northern Colorado should be picked 1st, ( i always hate being #1) Weber 2 montana 3 Portland 4 eastern 5 arizona 6 montana st 7 sac 8 idaho st 9.... we still will dominate, we know how to win on road,, good coaching... our size problems will be fixed along with outside suspect shooting..defense always a must...by the way tresnak scored 14 pts in win at state blowout..two games left in nebraska...

I agree with fatcat... I hate being the preseason #1...but finally, after 15 years, Weber proved that they could get the preseason #1 and still win it. So...who knows??

Anyway, I think next seasons preseason poll will go like this: 1) Weber 2) Montana 3) UNC 4) NAU 5) MSU 6) SAC 7) Eastern 8) ISU 9) PSU...

I think MSU has a hell of a coach, who hasn't been able to recruit the talent, yet, but he will. Boyle has another great class coming in, and has Beitzel, Proctor, and Montgomery coming back, but losing Figures and Bonner will be really really tough. Those are two of the top players in the Sky, one offensive the other defensive. Tinkle has good recruits coming in, but will they be able to mesh? Its one thing to get high ranking recruits, but what about their character, are they team players, hard workers..those types of intangibles. Earlywine, has two great young guards, but is losing all of his bigs. NAU loses one player Ben Larson. Adras can't be kept at the bottom for long, especially since he has one of the best players in the West playing for him. SAC is gonna be a lot better next year, and will make the tournament. PSU...Greving wasn't ready to be a head coach, but learned a lot during his rookie season. He has some great recruits coming in, but lost his big three. Its going to be a couple years of rebuilding in Portland, but I think he is the man for the job. He made the right adjustments at the end of the season that got his team playing better. ISU...well...I think O'Brien is a good coach. His biggest weakness is his desire to beat big programs. He only hurts his teams confidence. No matter, I haven't been able to accurately measure ISU, and once again, I'm not going to be able to. The Bengals are a definite Wildcard and will be once again. They could be battling at the top or be in the conference cellar. No matter, next season will be another fun one. However, the Sky will really depend upon the top teams to get the conference RPI up.

The team that is losing the most is definitely Montana. Yet, I'm leaning towards giving them an A recruiting class and giving them the top recruiting class in the Sky. However, I think ESPN's system is crap.

only reason Jason Richardson ranks so low is the transfer thing from Texas to California his senior year.. he was a dangerous every game, should be in mountain west or Wac at least, but recruit guru Coach Rahe gets his man... Same with Tresnak, should be in Pac 10 , but, grew 3 inches Jr year too 6'10" and finally had a bust out year his senior year, and now Coach Rahe looks like a genious... BJ Porter is a great pick-up... Montana does recruit well, but , as with all recruits it a wait and see how they adjust after their freshman season.. just take a look at 6'9'' Morris from Nampa Idaho, what a great find, looks like a starter, and has such a great attitude, no problems, goes to class,..and Coach Rahe finds a diamond in the rough..

Accomplishments for this year:

20 wins
Big Sky Champions
Win over Utah
NIT Automatic Qualifier
Big Sky MVP

Nothing to be ashamed of - keep your heads held high and kick some butt in the NIT!
