• Hi Guest,

We've updated the site to combine all the forums that were part of the Big Sky Fans Network into one location. This will make it easier to navigate and participate in all the discussions for each school without having to have multiple accounts, etc. We are still working out some tweaks but please let us know if you notice anything.

With the migration, in some circumstances, your username could have been merged with one of your other usernames from the other forums. If this is the case, you can request to change your username in your account details page of your profile.
  • Hi Guest, want to participate in the discussions, keep track of read/unread posts and more? Create your free account and increase the benefits of your eGriz.com experience today!
  • Guest, do want an ad free experience on BigSkyFans.com among other benefits? Upgrade your account today!

Thanks for the continued support. Cheers!

No video of scrimmage. Glad it was a good one

Someone please video the scrimmage Saturday and post in whole or in parts online. If security is an issue, give it a funny name (like Dance Recital Aug 9th) and send URL via email on the board to those interested in viewing it and don't put it in any thread. For those of us too far removed from making the trip, I thank you. :-)

Any volunteers?? Reply here.

Anyone that intends to do this should clear it with the coaching staff first. It was stuff like this and live tweeting with too much info that caused the Griz staff to close their practices to the public. Right now Jim Allen does a pretty good job keeping those of us that can't make it over to practices and scrimmages informed. Follow his tweeter feed.

It would be a same if our enthusiasm ended up hurting the team (and us).

I agree with HannahO, ask the coaches if they mind the scrimmage being posted on you tube. If they do not mind, no problem. If they prefer it not being public then respect their wishes. If you have to use a "funny name" you must feel it is wrong. I am sorry you and everyone that is interested can not attend practices in person.

Be glad to ping the coaching staff to get permission about the scrimmage, and have emailed Coach Baldwin I don't have a relationship with the Coaches, that I suspect many of you do, whether through Alumni or having your son's on the team thought that perhaps you could help navigate these waters.

If someone has a relationship with AD or Coaches.... :thumb:

I would love to see it as well, but will be working that morning! That being said, I'd understand if the coaches don't want to put out any early "game film," so to speak, on the team. It would be cool if it was a private link, but probably too much to manage. Anyone who does make it, I'd love to read your perspectives in addition to those of the media.

Dude, nicely stated.

Vimeo allows you to password protect videos. Just have regular red zoners pm for the password.

These days, Tweeting is expected, even for an old-school journalist. I try to send out useful/interesting information and photos when I'm at practice, but I also need to maintain trust with the EWU coaches and administration. To that end, I never Tweet pictures or video of formations - or anything else that could be exploited by opponents. Likewise, during the season, I see athletes with minor injuries, but Tweeting that info falls into the same category - an opponent could target injured body part, for example.

Jim, if you want to really help the team; 1) Talk to Baldwin about coming up with some whack formations on offense(Chicago Spread comes to mind). And other formations on "D" we will never implement. 2) With his OK then secretly/accidently leak those formations via tweets/vid with comments that they will be used for SHSU. 3) Then apologize for leaking such pertinent info and that you'll never do that again. 4) Send out your resumes...GO JIM and GO EWU111
