Northern Colorado @ Portland State

Sweet, sounds like Coleman will get some limited minutes tonight and Nelson may be ready for the EWU game on the 8th.
 
That first half was the ugliest half of basketball by PSU since maybe 2002-2003.

Does anyone know what exactly that administrative technical foul was that was called on Northern Colorado in the first half?

Classic Big Sky officiating to end the game. No whistle on the massive shove by us to try to foul. I figured that the officials, like myself, wanted to get the hell out of there. Then they call a five second violation with a couple of seconds left just a moment later. Don't even get me started on that intentional foul call.

The team sure didn't look motivated tonight...
 
I too was also wondering what the administrative foul was. I thought it was kind of hilarious when we didn't get called for that foul towards the end and UNC's coach started yelling at the ref. Does it REALLY matter at that point? haha I missed the foul that was called intentional on us but from crowd reaction it didn't seem like it should have been...?

Definitely an ugly game of basketball tonight...not a great way to start conference play!
 
Your Chevrolet Ugly-Game-of-the-Season. Would it now be safe to say the Viks have hit rock-bottom and are ready to recover? What is taking the wind out of their sails?
 
The loss to UNC is easy to understand. We're missing two good players, one of whom is a starter, and playing with nearly a whole new team. UNC came in with a nearly complete team from last year, one which took second in the Big Sky.
At this point I don't expect us to win games like this.
 
the problem is the lack of defense ,little guys get in the paint and score over and over game after game there have been know hard fouls to make guys think twice about coming in the paint it the same story every game why is the clipbord breaking coach not working on this . He needs to give guys roles so everyone knows what they need to do to play. this is a very good team with out Phil with him they will be much better.The coach needs to stop yelling and down talking his players and start teaching our this program is in trouble.

Ding, on the lack of defense. Small guards can get right to the bucket with ease. Phil won't solve this. Hard help defense will. The backdoor cuts murder us as well.
 
They don't really have a shot blocking presence down low this year. Jamie Jones had 75 blocks last season, losing him seems to have opened things up down low.

I agree, It hasn't been pretty at times, but after sitting through the last few seasons of football, I'll take a 7-6 record.
