Congratulations to the Hornets for a huge 21 point win over UNC tonight. A huge win over the 2nd place Bears and the best mark for our Hornets in terms of wins at 9 in school history in the Big Sky. Best of luck to Sac State on the road next week at Weber and Idaho State before ending the regular season at Hornet Gym against the Montana schools, the only teams we have yet to defeat.

From 2-6 to 9-7. Amazing!!!

Sac State Pride.

We need to beat ISU and MSU to finish 11-9. Luckily we beat #1 and #2 to help with tie breakers...

Nobody wants a piece of the Hornets right now. Sac is playing the best of any team in the BSC. Last night we played defense and rebounded at a new level. Stuteville has really made a difference in this team. McKinney is playing at POY level. We are playing nine deep without a drop-off. This team deserves all the support we can give them. BTW.....we didn't need any luck beating Weber or UNC. I think we will beat Weber at their place next week. WE ARE GOING TO OGDEN FOR THE BSCT!!!!! Start packing..

Great win. A dominating win over the 2nd place BSC team will open some eyes. Amazing and exciting run, 7 of the last 8. Wow. :o

The BSCT is still not a lock but the odds are (gasp) in our favor. We need at least a split from here on out which is more than possible. Win or lose we really need a good showing this week to show that this team can take the high level of play into a hostile environment at elevation.

What a difference nine days make. Time to join in with the fun. They would have to lose the next 4 to not make the tourney. THERE IS NO WAY THEY LOSE THE NEXT 4. Great job by the players and coaches. This team is special and they aren't done surprising you SD of Kadeezy or GH. They are the best team in the BigSky right now. When was the last time you could say that?????

Careful. Can't declare victory before you play the games. Nice to see your enthusiasm and it is fun watching them win some games.

Spoken like a wise Hornet.

I've been firmly behind them all year and I'm not backing down now. I've attended every home game and two away games and have seen the growth first hand. Don't underestimate this team. When we make the tourney, you all will jump on board. Just thought you could have some fun beforehand. Confidence is bred by success. I agree that over confidence can be dangerous but I don't see any of that with these guys.

PGP hats off to you. You stuck by this team and called your shot while the most of us had our doubts. By no means are we trying to tamper your enthusiasm; the concern by us fans who have been Hornet fans for many years know first hand that there is no sure thing with Hornet athletics. As awesome and enjoyable as this last month of Hornet hoops has been, it is still possible that this team could finish 0-4 and then it would probably come down to tie breakers just to get into the BSCT. We’ll all be just as exuberant as you when we lock up the BSCT berth.

We’ve got a tough road trip to Weber and ISU and then close the season in The Nest against the Montana’s. Plenty of work remains.

The Hornet's need more people like you. Like SDH summarized, there is a reason the games are played. Yes, they are playing well, and I am enjoying the ride, but like the women's team crashing to earth, anything is possible with Hornet athletics.

I appreciate the support GCM and SD. I have at least got you GCM to not snap back at me with a "5-8 that's all I need to see" comment. I'm sure you all are actually in the same corner that I am but you've been burnt in the past but the past is the past. These are the new improved 2013-2014 version of the Hornets. They have more pieces to play with and the frontcourt has become more than just serviceable. The best thing about them is next year they're all back except Salley, Quigley and Groom. Skies the limit for this group (or should I say BigSky's the limit). These freshmen are going to be fun to watch for awhile.
