northern colorado

That's great for them. They represented the BSC better than UM did.

The BSC needs to win a NCAA game or two.

This is what's wrong with majority of people. They think winning a 4th tier tournament is better than playing in the dance. Not so. UM represented much more than the Bears. Plain and simple dude.

Two observations:

1) Montana got beaten by a team that is in the Final Four. So the best of the Big Sky did quite well against one of the best teams in the country in Michigan. Great accomplishment, gives Montana and all the Big Sky a measuring stick of what it takes to advance.

2) Northern Colorado peaked at the right time and kept it rolling. It would be foolish to diminish their accomplishment in winning the CIT, even though it was against competition that doesn't compare to the Big Dance. The fact is that they won their last game. Only 4 teams in America can say that (NCAA, NIT, CBI, CIT). I don't know what the combination was for Northern Colorado's success, but teams that play well until the end usually have strong team chemistry and they usually have a deep bench.

Just my thoughts this morning.

Congrats to the Cubbies. Drake, San Diego, Sam Houston and UIC were games that UnCO had to beat to advance and win. Not like Cal Poly, Air Force, Oral Roberts, Northern Iowa or East Carolina, but nonetheless they took care of business and won the first post-season championship in conference history. Sir.Velo is totally jazzed!
