Ok, we had a bad game and lost to the Griz on their floor....Yes, I didn't like the way things went, thought there were times momentum was stopped by calls, and MT played awesome defense, kept the Cats from their normal scoring. Let the players recover, get back in the gym and try another approach....

Though Weber did not win the conference with a 14-2 record, so be it...the tournament is what defines post-season. Doesn't matter where, we can win the BSC tournament and go on to NCAA.

I read the comments on other threads about players and coaches, I know they were said in the frustration of Tues night, but think of the alternatives:
- would you want a coach like Geving or Hayford whining on the sideline instead of Coach Rahe?
- what if Weber had a season like NAU this year, with coach getting fired, NCAA violations, and 1 win in conference?
- What if we had players getting arrested for being under age in a bar and hospitalized for injuries, like other teams have experienced?

I think the coaches and players have handled themselves in an exemplary way.....last I checked 23-5 isn't too bad, Duke is 26-4, Kansas is 25-5, Michigan state is 24-6...all teams have some losses that weren't supposed to happen.

For us fans, put the game in your memory and look forward to Semis and Finals.....if Weber and Montana meet in the finals, I bet the result will be very different....Hope springs eternal, that's why we are fans, and this season is NOT OVER!

I came to the same conclusion about an hour after the game. I know they won't play like this again :bad: . So I am getting hyped for the next phase :thumb: . Weber has to exorcise the spector of Montana.

Weber was within 5 points several times late in the 2nd half all the while having their worst shooting game of the year. If they were going to lose a game to the griz last night was the one to lose. It is pretty difficult to beat a good team three times in one season, so I think it would have been tougher to actually sweep the griz this year now the pressure is on UM to beat us again. I think we are going to see Weber play some inspired ball next week, and the 3 ball will drop, over and over.

Keep in mind, this year we will be the hunters, not the hunted. I've felt like in past years in the conference tournament (when we've hosted) we've played not to lose, instead of playing to win. Now that we aren't the host team I'm hoping to see a different energy.
