I think most teams with this amount of injuries would be lucky to score 3 points a game. Grant it they have probabley the best QB and wide recievers in the FCS but this make shift OL is doing an incredible job. Keep it up....

1). Our dline is starting to take over games again.

2). Despite the lack of productivity I really like how Baldwin is staying committed to the run and short passing game by extension. NAU abandoned Bauman in the 3rd quarter after he was killing us.

3). Breaks. A few favorable calls and some takeaways.

4). BLM

To All,
I didn't see the game, I listened to the game on the radio. While listening to the game I was also looking at the Weber State Game of last week. I was enjoyable as usual, especially with the win at NAU.

Bo Levi Mitchell to his older brother Cory, for his older brother 1st TD. Cory will be getting more TD, he is an "Outstanding Athlete, all he needed was a chance to compete :thumb: :thumb: . Bo threw for three TDS, and ran for a TD   . What was important of the way he played, "NO INTS :thumb: :thumb: ." How about Evan Day, caused a fumble. Ceja and Williams coming through as usual when they needed to   Great win as usual. One game at a time. Even with NC,@ 0-5, we can not overlook their team, we must come out and play like they are 5-0, no let down.

Spoke with Chris Powers earlier this week, he stated he should be ready for "Home Coming next week". The OL is reallying doing a great job with the injuries we have had. Chris will be a great addition should he come back next week. This is my :twocents: worth. Great win. Go Eagles!!!!!Vic Wallace

I was really disappointed in Renard's performance today. He seemed confused and lacked his usual quick first steps. There were two notable plays were a cut got made right in front of him and he loafed away from the tackle. He was benched after both of those plays. With so many injuries, the stars need to step. Bo Levi stepped up, as did the big play receivers. Renard didn't. The other DTs on our squad outplayed him by a lot today.

Hamlin and Agen did a good job doing the best with what they had to work with.

On offense, I was glad to see us make a committment to running the football and we even saw our first toss-sweeps of the season. And above all, the errors our offense made weren't costly errors like the ones NAU made.

A good win for a beat up team. Now is the time for some of the injured guys to start getting back into rotation. Plus, what is up with Tyler Hart? Did he just fall off the map/ Is he redshirting? What about the RB recruit from UW? He's persona non grata right now.

I'd rather be lucky than good seems to apply to this game. NAU is a good team that beat themselves with turnovers, and stupid penalties. I would not be surprised at all to see them beat UM, Weber, and maybe MSU in Bozeman. That 7k' of elevation is a killer, you could really see the pace of the game slow down later in the game, but most of our players really sucked it up and made this win happen.
Why did we go for 2 point conversion earlier in the game, I still don't see the benefit in that. It was looking like that point may have been a factor late in the game.
Go Eagles!!

When Mitchell plays like that, we win. 27-40 for 356 yards and 3 td's plus a rushing td. It doesn't get much better than that, and when your QB is playing like that you better win. The receivers had a great game, all of them. How about that circus catch by Edwards? Wow. The biggest factor by far was the 4-0 TO margin. Give NAU credit, though, they played tough despite the TO's.

Lots of guys stepping up right now, to include some true Freshman. I was really impressed with Talley, Forte, and McCarthy. They are only going to get better with more experience. I think this team may still be kind of finding its identity with all the injuries. We need to get some guys healthy in a bad way, as well as get some other guys up to speed really quickly. The TE Mealey is doing an incredible job playing Center; I hope Powers is able to play next week, but hell, maybe if Mealey puts on some more weight he he could play Center next year.

Special teams minus the kick coverage were really good. Hard to argue with 3-3 on FG's and the Miller kid can really punt it. NAU was ranked #1 on kickoffs, but it was frustrating watching us give up so many short fields.

Not sure what the injury situation looks like right now and there were a lot of guys that went down in this game some of which came back to play, but I never saw Gaylord or Gehring come back, so I hope they are good to go.

Hey, A WIN is a win is a win, I'll take it, especially at 7000' altitude, never easy to play at NAU. FINALLY, Eastern won the turnover battle which more than likely won them the game. The first 4 games we lost the turnover battle and lost, so no need to feel bad. Turnovers are a huge stat, as is 1st downs, passing, rushing, time of possesion. Nice road win players and coaches!!!
