Notes from NSD conversation with Bruce Barnum

Spoke with Barnum a few minutes ago. Talked signees, of course, but also 2015 coaching staff:

1. Staff is not complete, still 2-3 guys to hire;
2. Malik Roberson will become the defensive coordinator and coach LB;
3. Jason Belford will likely be promoted to D-Line coach;
4. Still searching for a secondary coach;
5. Hasn't decided if he will hire a OC or serve in that capacity himself;
6. If he does hire an OC, likely be WR coach Steve Cooper;
7. Loves the 3 new guys - Patterson, Whitworth & Mozzochi
8. Patterson will be O-Line coach if Steve Morton decides not to return;
9. Morton has had health issues, and his future will be decided soon.
10. Mozzochi's position not decided. Could be QB coach or another offensive position.
11. Described Whitworth as one of the top ST coaches in country;
12. Full staff should be announced late next week.

All good information but what does that have to do with NSD. The failure to plan any type of SD party still blows me away. I can't remember ever not doing that and I go back a long way.

Also can't help being a little concerned over the low numbers of defensive signees. We have some holes to fill there.
