• Hi Guest,

We've updated the site to combine all the forums that were part of the Big Sky Fans Network into one location. This will make it easier to navigate and participate in all the discussions for each school without having to have multiple accounts, etc. We are still working out some tweaks but please let us know if you notice anything.

With the migration, in some circumstances, your username could have been merged with one of your other usernames from the other forums. If this is the case, you can request to change your username in your account details page of your profile.

Number of wins to host?

Magic number to win conference outright is 6.

That will change if and when those currently tied for second lose games, we win games, or both. It would be nice if they could all find their way to at least one loss this week. A win against SUU would also be quite nice.

I think the best any other team finishes is 13-7, so I'd agree 14 should win the conference outright. It's unlikely one of the 7-5 teams goes 7-1.

Like myself, you're a baseball (and A's) fan and should know all about Magic Numbers. :-D

I think 15 will definitely do it. I can't see any of the 5 loss teams running the table from here on in. But I could see one of them going 7-1. Montana is the team I'm fearing right now. We'll know more after this weekend. If Montana pulls out a Northern C and North D sweep, could be trouble.
I really would like to see Weber finish at least 16-4. Would be nice to finish 10-0 at home and 6-4 on the road.

Thursday's games might clear up the rankings a bit:
Weber at SUU (SUU will fight and try to out tough the Cats)
Sac at Eastern (Battle between two evenly matched teams. SAC, as Karl would would say, is living lavida loca)
NAU at PSU (This is going to be a hard fought battle...PSU has the edge since they are at home)
UM at UNCO (This is a big game. I don't feel UM matches up with UNCO. The cubbies will beat the Griz handily)
MSU at UND (Hot Dog and Crew keeps the Bobs slide going. It is gaining speed too)

It would be nice if after this week, wee could have a four game lead but that means that each of the teams tied for second would have to split their two games this week.

looks like 14 wins was what it is going to take to host. 13 wins got us to a share of the title!

unc lost its first home game, 8-1. we are 9-0.
