this schedule sucks. 7 road games and final 3 on the road no home games in Nov, start and end the yr with tough fbs' uh ok. well at least we know its not a schedule with teh playoffs being considered, lets just hope we smoke suu and go 7-1 in conference, that way we'd have 8 DI wins.

although if we can just manage to lose no home games we should be a lock for the playoffs.

Nine or ten DI wins would make us a lock for the playoffs in 2010 and a seed if we are undefeated in the Football Championship Subdivision.

Eight wins would lock us is as well, but would be highly unlikely to justify a seed.

Seven wins could possibly earn us another at-large bid, especially in the expanded field with 2 extra at-large bids planned for 2010, but seven may not be enough after the egg we laid in Williamsburg in the first round this year.

Glad we got one fbs at the start and one at the end. Its good not to start out with 2 looses and Imagine if we can win one.

Requests for the future:

Like the AD will ever listen or pay attention to my requests (why should they?) - but I share them anyway:

1. Limit FBS games to one per year. No need to have two. Injuries at the beginning of the year hurt WSU in the two league losses (especially MSU). Instead, play one big money game and then schedule a home and home with a team like SUU, etc.
2. Play more night games. Most of the home games this year could be a night game (except the um game on Oct 30). Night games have a larger attendance and are simply more enjoyable for the fans.
3. Offer more family and child friendly activities to do while at the game - obviously the die hard fans are there to watch football, but children and moms are not unnecessarily going to be entertained for 3.5 hours with football. Have some face painting, balloon animals, and other activities to keep the young'uns entertained for a few minutes during the game.

That is my 2 cents worth.

FYI, Weber has no control over the start time for conference games. The conference dictates the start time for ALL conference sporting events. It would be nice to have more night games, but they have no control. From what I have heard, there will be 2 more seasons with two money games, and then on the one per year schedule. ;)

This schedule seems to imply that the administration is either trying to catch up on a deficit or is trying to come up with funding with some kind of improvements (or maybe both). Your comment about two more seasons of this kind of thing, smjcpa, also seems to support this notion.

When coaches get hired or get their contracts extended, there is often a deal to improve facilities (such as the new practice field at WSU). Does anyone know of any other promised improvements that may apply here?

Here's a simple idea, why not have football season ticket fliers at the Basketball games? I know that this would require someone to plan ahead but I'd bet that it would pay off.
It would only take 5 minutes on a computer to create such fliers and just have the people that take your tickets pass them out for you. This isn't f-ing rocket science.

So wait let me see if I understand, hand out a flier for a season that hasn't started to the perfect target group of fans that are already at one of your events. Hum, makes too much sense for me, things could get crazy and the next thing you know they will have Coach Mac out with some of the football players at halftime speaking about the past season and upcoming season.

Seriously, they have the schedule done, now is the time to get new season ticket holders. Have a tax rebate deal, buy 1 season ticket get one free, something, anything.

Up Yours. Because of some of the tools on here with their lame takes and constant whining, I sometimes wonder why I waste my time with this forum. It's getting old.

Aw, c'mon, Ogdencat. Pay no attention.

Im making a prediction, Weber enters thier game with Montana at 6-1 with our only loss coming to Texas Tech and a top 15 ranking

I second that motion! ...except we don't play Texas Tech until the last game of the season.

To stand at 6-1 (6-0 IAA) by the time we meet Montana at the end of October, the Wildcats will probably have fallen to Boston College and prevailed over UNC, UC-Davis, EWU and Portland State at home, and Sac State and ISU on the road.

I'd love to get a W in Boston, but the likelyhood of that happening is pretty much nil. However, I concur with Native and Wildcat. I really think Weber has a great chance of being undefeated when the Grizz come to town on Oct 30.

Not that it matters but at least our FBS games didn't make this list. Notice the other Big Sky school's games, though.
