I know, I tend to bitch a lot about the offensive line, but lets face it. This is after all one of the more important positions in the game of football. Without a line, the team tends to really struggle moving the ball (case in point 2013??). After looking over the roster, I'm pretty happy. Granted, the team could use a couple more OL guys 13 still isn't quite enough, but everyone of the players have size. Guys from last year have put on around 10-20 more lbs and are quite a bit bigger. I think that really bodes well for what Coach Clark is going to do this season on offense.

I think the OL should be pretty solid, even after losing Shelton Robinson, who graduated early this spring. Alex Land, Joe Hawkins, and Cameron Young all return after starting every game last season. Dakota Jenkins-Baty returns after starting half the season before Tyson Tiatia returned for the last half of the season, but has been moved to the defensive line. They lose Tiatia and Robinson, as well as Joe Rauseo, but gain three new freshman, including an impressive Baron Bruce, and one transfer in Tui Crichton (who is massive by the way, which is why I think Mendenhall showed him the door after he was told to slim down and didn't). Coach Hill seems real happy with their play so far.

Hill was especially complimentary of the depth found on the offensive line, saying that they’ve been the most consistent group so far in camp.

“I think the O-line, even through spring ball, has been pretty sound and solid,” Coach hill remarked. “They’ve got to continue to work on the details of their assignments, but they’re being tough.”
