I'd think that the poor vikings have their share of Safeties; he'll probably red shirt. He sounds good but young. What do you think, Teamholt? Aren't you familiar with the Sacramento area?

That kid was the guy on the team meaning he played several position's. I think every freshmen should redshirt so they can get bigger learn the system and get acclimated to school. As far as athlete's Sacramento has became a hot bed for talent.

Thanks, Team. I agree with you on the redshirt policy. As for newcomers I'm watching Danny Velasquez, Soph transfer QB. A little larger than Alexander, and he can run. Throws a long ball accurately. A drawback may be interceptions.

I'm intrigued with Velasquez as well. Whatever you want to call this offense that Barnum runs, it seems to be most effective when you have someone who is a true threat at both passing and running like Kuresa was. Eason, pretty sure he is going to run. Alexander, pretty sure he is going to pass. You don't need someone who is great at one thing. You just need someone who is good at both.

I like Eason. I thought he showed great poise against both BYU and Oregon State last year. I also like Alexander and the passing numbers he put up at the end of last year. I just think a true dual-threat is what we need. Whether that is Velasquez, Eason, Alexander or whoever, it needs to be decided by the Nevada game, otherwise we are that much further behind the rest of the Big Sky.

I'm waiting on Mike lund to edit and put up some video's. I want to see the velasquez kid. I couldn't watch him in high school because the city he's from is about an hour from sacramento. Is there a machine we can put all three in and make one super QB. I agree with you all eason's poise was great but he did take off when I thought he could have. Alexander Has a nice arm and didn't take off a little. For Velasquez I watched video but would like to see him in person.

For me, I'm keeping my eye on the Woods kid. Seemed like he put up good numbers at UDub. It is difficult to gauge how kids will react after a year away from football, however. I'm also watching this Green kid from Ball State. I think the last time someone from Ball State came to Portland was Bonzi Wells. I sure hope this guy is not a knucklehead. :lol:
