The staff has two weeks to get ready. After the sh$t show today they need to tear it all down and start over.

That's harsh Clawman however if something isn't "fixed" by then the Griz will absolutely destroy Eastern this year ! And I know we all FTG !!!

The bye week could not have come at a better time. Two weeks to heal up and watch game film on Montana.

Agreed, the Eags needed this bye week desperately. Montana looks to be strong this season but this week IN SACRAMENTO is a big test for both programs. If Sac State pulls out a win it will put them in the driver’s seat in the Big Sky imo. Back to back to back wins over EWU, UM & MSU in Bozeman would be huge! That would also help Eastern in two big ways, it would give all traditional contenders (save WSU) a conference loss, AND it would/could stop Montana’s momentum before the Eags arrive in Missoula. Eastern needs to get that defense fixed NOW, and Custer needs to shine to help round out this offensive attack. He’s a senior and every game from here on out is of the utmost importance. GoEags!

Eastern still needs a "QB team", one QB being capable of replacing the other without incurring losses of yardage, interceptions, and consistent three 'n outs. These QB, line? receiver? Talkington problems place too much responsibility on our defense without yielding Eagle scores. It's already late in the season and improvement will produce the needed results.

Sacramento St is legit after they handled the Montana Griz tonight.

Montana might be a bad fit for us. They really like to hit, and physical teams have been the ones we’ve been the most challenged by. That said, Montana got their ass handed to them, so we’ll see how they respond. My hunch is we’ll see all the guys that went out tonight back on the field Saturday. I don’t think they’ll have the same fall-apart we had after Jacksonville State. We’re going to need to match their toughness, and I don’t think we can. Sure hope I’m wrong because I’d be more than happy to come back and eat crow.

It didn't take last night night to legitimize Sac. It just took last night to overcome a reputation of the Big Sky's whipping boy earned over years and years.
They are for real, now and in the future. They are in such a rich recruiting area Troy Taylor and company will be a force for a long time.

You are likely correct. I enjoyed watching their OL play last night. When they ran the ball everyone fired off moving downhill, when they passed they took the "old school" two step drop and setup and blocked the D man in front of them. That's one tough QB. Honestly, they are doing a lot with very little skilled talent on offense. Mindset. Wish I could be at WaGriz next week. Should be a good game.

Regardless of talent level, Sac's QB is a gamer. He makes good reads and never hesitates to get upfield. You can bang on him all you want, he gets up and lines up to do it again. I love players like that.

We'll be attending our first game at WA-Grizz stadium....any gathering of Eagle fans at a local watering hole in Missoula on Friday night scheduled?

Haven't seen anything announced yet (I easily could have missed it), but there's usually something at Stockman's Bar on Friday night.

How is "that's one tough QB" banging on him? He's one tough QB. If you think the rest of the team is as athletic as Eastern's players, then we might have something to argue about. BTW, didn't think the Griz showed much athleticism either. So there.
