the game is already scheduled besides who would we need solid verbals from our AD and Prez?

Is there any conjecture out there as to whether or not Washington will start or see significant playing time. I sure like the idea of an athletic type rebounder out on the court with Lillard, Bullinger, and am real curious to see Session and Hughey play ball.

Has Panos improved his game? Has Mahoney matured? Will Hansens playing time be diminished with new recruits or will he bring a stability to the team?

From what I have heard, Session will be starting this season. Hughey is the #1 backup to Hansen and Nobel will be the #1 backup to Lillard. Washington could end up being utilized at either the 3 or 4. Coro, Crandell, Davis, and Fulton will all be red-shirted. I think the Coaching staff wants to wait on Fulton. Give him another year to develop, fine-tune his game, and hopefully grow some more. He and Tresnak will both be able to help the team next season.

On Monday, the Wizard said that Davis could immediately help out the team this season, but doesn't want to use up any of his time if he can't get him significant mins. I'm pretty sure the Wizard was going to be using Coro this year, but the guy broke his foot early in the semester and wont be available till the conference season. Panos and Morris are going to be splitting time at the 5 with Mahoney being their back-up. Mahoney will, in all likelyhood, see the majority of his mins at the 4.

I could see, in a specific offensive scenario, Bullinger or Session playing the 3, Mahoney at the 5, Washington at the 4, with hughey 2 and lillard 1. In my opinion, that is one freaking quick and dangerous group.

I think the Wizard is trying to shield Washington. He keeps saying that Washington is coming along and that he is developing his game, but wont see significant mins. Maybe Washington isn't that good, or his game has gone to crap. Or maybe, Rahe doesn't want anyone else to know about Washington. I do know that Washington is a Ben Wallaceesque player. He isn't much of a threat offensively, but he sure can dominate on the defensive end.

Panos has improved his game each year, and I'm sure he will come back better this season. The most important thing that Panos brings to the team is leadership. He is the epitome of a team player. No matter, he is for the betterment of the team. I have heard that Morris is going to be a force this season. Its a really good thing that Morris and Panos are really close. They push each other everyday, and that has helped them both to improve.

Mahoney has added about 20lbs to his frame over the summer and has honed his offensive game. One thing that Mahoney can always be counted on is his knowledge of the game, and his passing ability, which is a rarity among big men. Overall, Mahoney is much improved from last season. He is afterall a 23 year old sophmore.

Hansen...well...He is the best shooter on the team. Having him on the floor keeps defenses honest. Also, he is a senior and team captain. No matter, you can't find a better guy than Nick. Like Panos, he is a team player and wants the team to succeed. Personally, I think he get about the same amount of mins as he did last year.

One thing that is really nice about this team is that virtually all of the players can play two or three positions. However, with Coro out, tha leaves the team without one pure shooter.

In the standard this morning they talk about Washington having an impact on this years team because of his athleticism. Does not sound like somebody who isn't going to play.

my starting 5: ( by the time conference play starts)
1 Lillard
2 Session
3 Bullinger
4 Washington
5 Panos

Thats a heck of a lineup, but because Hansen is a SR, and is the best 3pt shooter on the team he gets the nod at the 2.
