• Hi Guest,

We've updated the site to combine all the forums that were part of the Big Sky Fans Network into one location. This will make it easier to navigate and participate in all the discussions for each school without having to have multiple accounts, etc. We are still working out some tweaks but please let us know if you notice anything.

With the migration, in some circumstances, your username could have been merged with one of your other usernames from the other forums. If this is the case, you can request to change your username in your account details page of your profile.

Operating budget

A few years back, The SR wrote a story that ranked each BSC school according to their football budget. If I recall correctly, EWU was at or near the bottom. I was just curious to see if anyone knew where we rank now. Would be an interesting comparison to other schools having equal success on the field. Anyone know of where to find this info?

Recently U of M announced a 150,000 budget cut to athletics because enrollment had dropped by approx. 700 students. I am of the impression EWU enrollment is up dramatically in recent years. Has the EWU athletic budget increased?

It's my understanding that it's increased. A large percentage of our budget comes from direct institutional support (student fees), so as enrollment goes up, so does the amount of money coming in. We've also had some nice pay days from playing BCS schools the past few years.

You can tell we are operating at a slightly higher budget by the increase in the number of out of state schollies. Last year's recruiting class had as many out of staters as WA kids. You never would have seen that even 5 or 6 years ago.
