Ok, time to focus on our Bracketbuster matchup tomorrow night against the Golden Eagles of Oral Roberts.

Oral Roberts is 17-10 overall, 12-3 in the Southland Conference and in 3rd place.

This is a matchup pitting 2 solid mid-major programs against each other, Oral Roberts is a lot like Weber in many ways, great basketball tradition being the biggest.

Some Stats between the two

Points per game
Weber- 19th 76.3pg
ORU- 83rd 71.2pg

Rebounds per game
Weber- 127th 35.8pg
ORU- 100th 36.5pg

Assists per game
Weber- 99th 14.0pg
ORU- 156th 13.0 pg

Field Goal %
Weber- 1st .513%
ORU- 46th .462%

It's gonna be a huge matchup, and hopefully better than our last road BB game.

GO WEBER

IT'LL BE A FUN GAME TO WATCH... I JUST HOPE WE PLAY EVERY GAME THE REST OF THIS SEASON EXACTLY LIKE THE WAY WE PLAYED MONTANA... WEBER MIGHT BE ABLE TO BRING HOME THEIR SECOND NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP... LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!!! :coffee: :coffee:

There are no odds I could find on this game, but RPI forecast has OR as a .7 point favorite. So, basically, this game is even. I give the edge to Weber - they have played very well this past stretch and I don't see them letting up.
Go Cats!

Basketball State statistics website has Weber at RPI of 114 and ORU at 115, so guess we can't get much closer.
This should be a good match-up.
Go Wildcats!

The Orals are a great matchup for the Cats. I'm pretty excited to watch this game tomorrow at Buffalo Wild Wings without Catcat.

Wildcat, nice stats. The Orals have really been hit by the injury bug this season. It has been a rough go for them, but even with the unusual number of injuries, they have overachieved; sign of a good coach. I'm really looking forward to the home rematch next year. This is why I really like the bracket buster event, it is a chance for fans to see teams that normally don't play each other, and it gives both set of fans a chance to see the teams play at their home venues. Nice arrangement. Also, it could, help improve overall RPI, but...best thing that could happen this weekend is A. Weber wins, B. 8 out of the 11 Big Sky schools win, which could help the conference's overall RPI. It is the only thing that could help the Conference's dysmal RPI.

i wish this game was in ogden. i think we would get a crowd of 9,000 plus.

i have seen oral once. in logan a few yrs back. also, they were with us in sacramento in the first round of the ncaa tourney. they were a 14 seed and we were a 15 seed.

Im thinking we would get more around 7,400ish. Oral Roberts is a great opponent, but unfortunately not very well known especially to those fans who dont really pay attention.

let me clarify though ur not the person to disagree with about attendance since you guess the exact number. my reasoning isnt about name. its about just being a big game for us and at the point in the season which it is. last yr we had 9,000 for UTA, no one in utah cares about UTA but it was a big game.

true, good point. also though we are on track to have similar overall attendance or higher. which is even more impressive considering we had dame. my prediction was a dip this yr which is not turning out to be the case for 2013 :thumb: i think its important that we get to the big dance this yr to keep things on the up and up. that is another thread topic though.

What chance do we have of serving the bobs? A 1pt win would make my day though.

I checked out oral roberts board. They seem pretty cool.

I'm in St Georg. Just ran in a holf marathon. Couldn't get the TV game, internet connection is so slow that I couldn't get any streaming to work, and the radio feed was in and out. From the point that they hit a tree to cut our lead to 4 with seconds to play, WHAT HAPPENED? :yikes:
