Oregon reporter suggests EWU offense better than Spartans

Just thought i'd share this. Michigan State fans seem pretty upset about it on their message boards.

Fentress made mention of the 21 second half points and didn't mention our 2nd QB was in the game for a couple of those TD's... That makes this even funnier. Think our WR group could compete with ANY NCAA team in depth and talent.

Cooper Kupp would start on any squad. Kendrick Bourne would start on almost every squad. Shaq Hill and Nic Splendorio would find playing time on any team. Our backups are just about as good as the starters.

We are ridiculously loaded. I still don't understand how EWU does it.

It was pointed out by a friend at the coaches show that the 3 best QB's in the game were from Eastern.

"Better" is hard to define, but I think it's fair to say that against the same opposition, Eastern would score more points than Michigan State a good number of times. Would Eastern be better than .500? Hard to say based on one game, but I'd reckon yes.

However, I have no misconceptions that Eastern is better all-around. But Eastern plays their asses off (always have), and that counts for a lot.
