Oregon State Recruiting Sperbeck for 2013

Coach's son is a rising DI recruit and has offers from Army and San Jose State. I wonder if it'd be a recruiting violation for Coach to give his son an extra serving of taters to coax him into committing to SAC?

If you think about it, he could be sitting pretty to RS for us next year, and be right in the mix with Safron and others in 2014.

However, he ran a 4.44 and is being considered as a WR by some recruiting sources (ESPN).

Guess he's not coming here!

Not saying T Sperbeck will be a bad recruit/college player, but the last father son coach-player tandem didn’t work out so well for us. Just sayin’.

I was wondering why we were playing a two o'clock game in mid-Sept instead of six; now I know. Coach has to watch his son play at Hughes on Saturday night at 7pm.

In addition to his football prowess, Tom Sperbeck started on the Jesuit basketball team (a smart player) and he also participated in track & field; I think he did the high jump and possibly something else. He's a very good all around athlete. I wish he'd stay home; they could make it work.
