OT--Bleymaier Fired at BSU

Boise State fired athletic director Gene Bleymaier, the man who has presided over every move "up" by BSU from the Big Sky all the way to Mountain West Conference and national power. Will be very interesting to see where the Broncos go from here:

I for one, am very saddened by Gene's dismissal, when you consider everything that he's done for BSU. I consider him to be one of the better AD's in the country. He's very good at hiring good coaches who bring a lot of success to a particular sport, and very good at fundraising. But I guess that somebody had to be the fall guy for the upcoming sanctions (possibly severe) that BSU will soon receive from the NCAA. I have talked with him a few times in the past and he's a true gentleman and very knowledgeable about matters regarding sports.

hate BSU, but that guy has done a great job.
