OT: How Ohio State could help BSU, Idaho

Wouldn't it be ironic if the snub of the Big 12 by the playoff committee caused the league to expand to have a conference championship. Which could lead to Boise State getting a bid to the Big 12. Which could lead to Idaho getting a Mountain West bid? Just a thought.

I know a few BSU fans in this area that are pretty confident that BSU and BYU could very well go to the Big 12. However, I've searched some articles about this particular subject matter on the internet, and there are quite a few writers for various papers who feel that BSU and BYU are too far to travel for quite a few of the teams in that league. Plus, when BYU won't play on Sundays in any sport then that complicates things. And with West Virginia being in that league, the more likely choice would be a team like Cincinnati, because those two schools could be travel partners. Also, the University of Memphis could be another possibility for inclusion into the Big 12, according to a couple writers. Memphis' football team hasn't been very good for quite some time, but they're pretty good in basketball and other sports. And if Memphis were added to this league then this would help league teams when recruiting in SEC country.

But President Bob Kustra said he'd have to be "convinced" to join the Big 12, citing travel concerns to small towns like Lubbock (Texas Tech) and Waco (Baylor), Texas.

FYI, these "small towns" of Lubbock and Waco are roughly the size of Boise. Yet, this all makes sense when you realize Kustra is the head cheerleader for the football team.

FYI, these "small towns" of Lubbock and Waco are roughly the size of Boise. Yet, this all makes sense when you realize Kustra is the head cheerleader for the football team.

Translation: Krusty the Klown has already sent out feelers to the Big 12, and they told him that he's not on their radar. Cincinnati, East Carolina, even BYU are, among others. Kinda like when a coaching candidate pulls out of the running for a job right before the hire is announced. The coach has to save face, and the place where he applied usually has told him they're not going to hire him.
