Check out the depth we have on this roster. I've never seen these kind of numbers before.

18 offensive linemen and 18 defensive linemen. Holy cow...that is huge... and so are some of them.

I imagine we have to make some cut downs because we have 103 on the roster and I thought D1-AA, including walk-ons, could only carry 90 players. I could be mistaken however. If anyone knows, let the rest of us know and provide a source for the information.

15 WRs and 7 TEs! Incredible. 12 LBs...fabulous.

I thought the max we could carry was 85? Either way, why have teams like Montana, App State, James Madison, etc. have been so successful over the years....depth, especially on both lines.

HHD, I know that you are a very proud dad of Jon and what the rest of the staff have done to assemble this team. Can't wait to see it bear fruit!!

I had thought that was correct, too, SHA. Either rules have been relaxed to FBS levels, or we can expect some rather deep cuts during fall camp.

Actually, that's probably a good idea. Go into camp with more than the limit and let them fight it out. That way we can get the best 85 through competition.

Here is a breakdown of '07-'08 football rosters as reported to the Feds.

Actually EWU has more like 93 on the roster. Some of the schools actually suit up all redshirts for home games and place them on their rosters. I am not sure what the FCS roster limit is but Sac State is under a different set of rules. Our problem is that we have to comply with California title 9. The others comply with federal title 9. Since Ca title 9 is stricter it limits the amount of male athletes the school can have in relation to the females. Therefore the football team takes the biggest hit. This has and always will be a disadvantage.
