Parking fees

I noticed people are already starting to complain about the ONE DOLLAR parking fee. Come on people, you CAN afford a dollar. Here in New England charge to breathe the air at football games.

Who's making it to this game? Heckler? Paw?

Those who don't want to pay the $1 fee can always walk into the dome by parking elsewhere (but that would require, gosh, a 1/4 mile walk). I park elsewhere on campus and walk but I think I will donate a dollar each game to a parking attendant or however they are going to collect this.

It's a $1 bill.....please bring $1 bills......

FYI, it was like $10 or $15 to park at BSU, and when I saw the Red Sox and the Rays, it was $10. Last year for the Giants vs. Marlins at Pac-Bell or whatever it's called now it was $15. $1 is nothing.....especially considering it has been free for the last 39 seasons at Holt

ISUSID

THIS entire concern can be put to rest... join the foundation and it is paid out of your dues. my personal belief is that a buck is cheap. now I also think it should be $25.00 for high school games. maybe $30.00 or forty. Obviously, that is facetious, but we should charge the people we dont need and not the ones we do.

I think we are very behind in charging for parking. It is an easy way to raise funds. The people that are complaining are probably also the same people that did not vote for the Holt Arena Bond. I have been to games at Montana State, Weber, Utah State, BSU and other area events. They all charge more than we do to park. People just need to get used to it. Nothing is free in this world anymore.

I assumed that we'd charge a little more than that to help raise funds for maintenance and improvements to the dome -- and $1 isn't really much at all. BTW, what did athletic officials at ISU decide what they needed to do to raise the needed $20 million or so to renovate the dome in order to bring it up to code? Are they going to raise student fees in order to get this done?

The $1 charge is an easy way to phase the parking fees in. I don't it will stay $1 for very long. It is just to get people used to paying.
