Or is taking the max the best way ?

Parking is at a premium most of the time. The Max lets you off just outside the fence on the East side of the stadium. Very convenient.

Park on the downtown side of I405. it's a few blocks of a walk, but not bad.

They just put a below ground four level parking structure next to that old church on Alder Street...
