Penalties

We were back up to 10 penalties for 107 yards last weekend. Can we win against the Aggies giving up that must real estate and killing drives?

Eagles haven't a lost a game yet due to penalties... according to the Ags board the crew is out of the SoCon and did the Colgate v JMU last week. that was a well officiated affair. Anything is possible, assuming the officials call it approx the same, don't give either team an edge in this one. Davis actually has more penalties on the season by 11... 95th ranked vs Eastern 67th Guessing both sides want it called the same.

About the same on TO's, margin etc... couldn't find a good number on scoring conversion rate on TO for or against.. Going with my gut, Eastern has done a nice job converting a score and denying scores the other way..

I certainly would not want to be a ref. Talk about a thankless job. Have you EVER seen a post by a fan saying whew we got away with one there! Or This crew really likes us we've got this one for sure.
I have not ever seen that.
I think the crews at this level are giving it their all and like what they do. Sure every fan can point to a bad call, at least in their opinion, but all in all it works out in the end.

Both the Eagles and Bison had 8 penalties for about the same yardage, the difference was ours were VERY costly, bringing back big gains.
I'm not saying that penalties themselves cost us the game but definitely made a difference in both scoring and changing momentum.

The penalty where the receiver didn’t get up on the line was brutal. Then we rally back for the first down only to have a tough chop block call that was 50/50 at best. The officials were fine, but a couple of those penalties were killers of our own doing.

Appreciated the fact that neither team had any unsportsmanlike penalties. Playing smart football requires 100% control of emotions.
