Tuesday nights game should be a good one. Pepperdine has been struggling a bit this year. They have won only 2 games so far this year. They look to be about the level of a lower division BSC team. With league games right around the corner, this seems like a good matchup to fine tune some of the things we will be using next week. Plus, they took one from us last year. We probably should have won that game. :coffee:

Up big in the first half, we let them back in in the second half, and pulled it out at the end.

I'm really glad that we get ISU to open league play. I think that Chapman is a maybe for that game and if tonight's game is an indication, we are going to need him healthy for the rest of the way.

We didn't seem to have the same pop in the second half and Pepperdine is an athletic and talented team. I hope we learned something from this game. Pepperdine made their biggest runs against our bench. Randy got the starters back in, but it was almost too late. That's two athletic teams in a row. I hope that prepares us for our first 2 weeks of league. :coffee:

Well...lucky to have gotten a W tonight. Thought I was going to witness another Randy Rahe WTF game where the Cats lose after leading by 15+.

Glad we got the W. We desperately need Chapman back so we don't have to suffer watching Dallas. He is such a great kid and I want him to succeed so badly but he isn't good. He's soft on defense, slow on the boards, and zombie esque on offense. Brendan Morris is better and should play over him. I've heard that Patten is one of the better bigs in practice and he's 6-7. We need help in the middle. Weber was so bad on the glass tonight. Out of position, not blocking out, terrible form. All coachable things...once again, Randy you need a bigs coach.

A tale of two half's, Weber couldn't miss in the first half but had a hard time hitting the side of a barn in the 2nd. Credit Pepperdine's defensive strategy. Harding continues to play in beast mode but with a small turnover thrown in every so often. The Kid has game though and has become a very valuable player.

I agree with Tal about Dallas, almost every time the kid touches the ball it results in a turnover. It's too bad, the kid plays hard and you can see the frustration on his face but at this point he has basically just become a minute eater.

Oh well, at the end of the night a win is a win (regardless how ugly) so I'll take it.

Dallas still hasn't regained full confidence in his knee. He was playing much more aggressively in the summer, prior to the injury. I hope he gets some of that back as the season progresses. :coffee:
