Perspective Week 4

Damn....that sucked in so many ways...though I did see a lot of improvement in all phases of the game from the first 3 games, but it just seems we are finding ways to loose versus ways to finish and win.

There isn't many things that haven't already been said regarding the game that many of you haven't already mentioned. We still have an problem with FG team, and defense, though they played well, need to find the balance between playing with emotion and within the rules of the game.

My Thoughts...

1 - Refs suck at pretty much all levels below the NFL, but we get what we get. Game moves to fast for them most of the time, but uUntil we start winning, questionable calls will go against us...last year we had two that cost us games and possible playoffs.

2 - Worst loss as many of you are saying...retty sure there have been many "Worst Losses" over the years, so taking it into perspective...nah...just sucked hairy bean bags. The worst loss was losing a player last year in mid season... :( , whcih also, in my opinion resulted in our best win...(Not the FBS wins) but a strong group of young men coming together and knocking off an undefeated Cal Poly team after that sorrow.

3 - Fire Staff...HC, etc... - This is a results business, but also a financial decision. I am not saying anyone needs to go or stay, but I do know that Sac State is also under budget constraints as to what coaches they can hire...Unlike CAL or even UCD we don't have the boosters paying the additional salaries to bring in top "Free Agent" coaches. So all pitchforks and torches anyone throws up on the message boards are just the rantings of upset fans after a loss...unless a group of boosters who's wallets, and I mean DEEP wallets, are holding those pitchforks, our coahces arent going anywhere. So like i have always told my kids "You Get What You Get and Don't Throw a Fit".

4. Rest of season....I am not writing it off just yet...only 1 game behind where I though we would be, so that tells me we need to win a game we thought we were going to loose. I know the players, coaches and all were upset about the loss, but back to work the next day to focus on Weber St....sure hope they write the ship this week, as Ogden isn't an easy place to win at for us.

Good news from this week though....UCD has one loss more than us :D
