ON CAMPUS: PSU's Nelson wins slam-dunk contest

BASKETBALL: Portland State's Phil Nelson, a 6-7 forward from McNary High, won his third straight slam-dunk title Saturday at the annual Salem Hoopla.

Nelson dunked over a table with his two trophies on top, as he edged Gio Woods of Central Washington.

Judges included Derek Anderson of the Cleveland Browns and Grayson "The Professor" Boucher of And 1 Streetball fame.
