I've heard rumours swirling about that a recruit was in town last week. I know it wasn't Stacy Davis.

It was Shields and his dad.

He didn't play on Friday. He and his dad were just watching. I wasn't there Saturday.

That is what I figured. It would be nice if Weber could get him. He has, I believe, an offer from Nebraska which, for him, is going to be really hard to turn down. He is from Kansas City area. It is close to home and in the Big 10. But...I'm pretty sure, since he visited, that Weber has a good shot at getting him.

Do you have any additional comments on the visit.

I was sitting with Mike Brown's dad and granddad. I was thinking about introducing myself to them, but didn't do it. The coaches were all there. The only players not playing were Bam, sprianed ankle, and Wheelright, sprained accademics;-) Lillard and Brown were lighting it up. The rest of them had their moments as well. Otis is just a beast around the basket. This year's team is way better than last.

Shavon is quite slender, about 6'5'', and is probably still growing. He looks really young at least.
