playoff scenario

I think the only way we see a home playoff game is if we get a top 5 seed. If not we are at the mercy of bidding which I'm concerned the program does not have the resources or spirit to step up enough to win against other 5-12? teams. I know Chaves did and would again roll the dice but not so sure of this administration.
So what is our chances of a top 5 seed? Not too good right now. It is a given we have to win out and still need some help by Sac state losing.
I hope I'm wrong but it looks to me like our playoffs will be on the road and that has not been overly successful for the Eagles.

clawman, felt that going into yesterdays game and felt that every game from Weber on out had that same importance.. every game was a playoff game to acquire that seed. So, your right about now needing help.

10-1 against a tough Big Sky will get us a top 4 seed. With conference schedules at the halfway mark, a lot of teams will lose unexpectedly, just like Eastern did yesterday.

I don't even think it's worth thinking on it too much... the most important thing is correcting some mistakes and playing 60 minutes of intense football against Montana State. This is a make-or-break game as the future hangs on a thread. Beat MSU, and the Weber loss is canceled out and we're back to being on the front foot. Lose to Montana State, and we're still needing a road win just to make the playoffs. It's all to play for.

It is doubtful the committee will give the Sky two top 4 seeds. As I mentioned if Sac St wins out they will be the Big Sky seed.

Disagree. IF MSU and SAC both win out, the Cats will be top 4, not Sac.

Sac State already has two losses. Even if they run the table (My God did they get the easy end of a conference schedule!), they would only be a top 4 seed with chaos in front of the them. Eastern or Montana State running the table would get a top 4 seed; each would only have one loss. 10-1 with tough schedule > 9-2 with an easier schedule

If we win out we will finish with a top 4 seed, guaranteed! Even if sac runs the table they won’t jump us…

We are 5 right now, we beat MSU and we move to 4. NDSU plays at SDSU this weekend so we would move to #3 if SDSU wins and we win

No, if that happens they’ll get the autobid. No chance are they a top 5 seed.

I wouldn't say 9-2 has no chance for a top 4 seed, but a lot would have to break in their favor. Plus, there's a lot of football left. Eastern could finish 10-1 or just as easily 7-4. This is the time of year where chaos can be expected. Plus, let's not undervalue the fact that 8 teams are seeded, so there's a lot of value in finishing 5-8.
