Wow! What a travesty. I know a couple of families who live in the fire zone and, although I've tried, I haven't been able to get in touch with any of them. As of now, I haven't heard of any injuries or worse. That's the good news.
I read somewhere that farm machinery was operating somewhere close at about the time the fire broke out. I also heard rumors of kids playing with fireworks. I hope not. Whatever the case, it's a sad time in Pocatello. Best wishes for all impacted.
