Pocatello's Best...

I have a couple of questions for anyone that would like to post their opinion...

What's Pocatello's Best Post-Game hangout?

What's Pocatello's Best Pizza?

Where's a place that you can sit. have a bite and/or beverage and carry on a conversation without smelling like you just smoked 2 packs of smokes?

What's Pocatello's Best Radio Station (Rock 'n Roll - Oldies are OK)?

I come to Pocatello quite often but always go to the same joints... Buddys, the Sandpiper, the lounge at the Holiday Inn and Mama Inez. It seems that I'm listening to CD's rather than the radio. But you get a better flavor of the community by listening to the radio. After each of the games in Holt or Reed Gym, I hit the freeway and head back to Boise. Help me out here.

Thanks in advance.

Have you been to the brewpub (Portneuf Valley Brewing), spaz? It's been a while since I was there, but I enjoyed it a great deal (and I believe it's smoke free -- at least I don't remember anybody smoking!).

I haven't been there. But, I am actually spending tomorrow night in Pocatello. I will give it a try. Thanks for the info. Any other suggestions?

Hey, SLC... Thanks for the info on the Portneuf Valley Brew pub. I was dubious when I got there. They are located in the old, almost deserted area by the tracks. But, I was pleasantly surprised. It was pretty darn good. I had their 1/2 order of chicken fajitas. They have a bit of a kick to them. Bottom line, I liked the food and the atmosphere.

I'm not a drinker, though. They had my favorite beverage - Diet Coke. They had a sasparilla (old fashioned root beer I guess). I wasn't that adventurous.

Overall, it was good. I will go back again.

You're eating and drinking at some of the best places. Remo's and Senang (on second street) are more up scale food but casual. Pasta Vino on Main Street is cheap and good. The Press Box is great for cheap steaks and burgers. All are non-smoking. Buddys is the best pizza for miles around. Senior Iqugana is a second mexican option on the corner of Pocatello Creek and Hiline. Enjoy.
