Hey Eag Nation!
I thought it would be interesting to see what podcasts you all listen to that showcase EWU's football team and other teams in the Big Sky Conference. I have five that I listen to on my way to work.
So there you have it, those are my five go-to podcasts! Do you have a podcast that you like to listen to that focuses on the FCS, BSC, or EWU?

- The best podcast for EWU football is right in front of any Eagle fan's face... Larry Weir and the Eastern Athletic Department publish two great episodes each week. They are published to Sound Cloud under Eagle Athletics and Larry Weir is the host of both shows. The first is the Coaches Show at the Northern Quest Casino's sports bar, which features Coach Best and typically two of his players. The other is the weekly Athletic Director's podcast with Bill Chaves. Both Larry and Bill do a great job on the show. This is a podcast should be a staple for any EWU fan who has a long commute to work. Listen to it.
- Scott Gerrard hosts two Big Sky Conference official podcasts per week. One is the coaches call, which is a round robin of coaches from the league being interviewed for 5-10 minutes. Each coach talks about their past game and the upcoming game, which is always interesting to hear. The other show published weekly is his own narrative with guest speakers that he pulls onto the show from all around the conference. It's really good quality and, while EWU is still top tier in the BSC, we receive plenty of attention on his show. This podcast is nice because it is not Cat/Griz-centric. I would highly suggest it, after the Eastern Athletic's podcast.
- Colter Nuanez of Skyline Sports has certainly made a name for himself in the Big Sky Conference. Having only begun reporting on the BSC a handful of years ago, it's cool to see that each of the coaches know exactly who he is. He does a great job reporting on the conference. Colter primarily follows the Cats, and to a lesser extent, he follows those other guys in the treasure state. However, he always spends a decent chunk of time talking about EWU. The weeks that we play the Cats or the bears, he provides a very deep analysis of EWU's team. He participates in the weekly coaches call and publishes podcasts as he completes them. His style is less like a podcast weekly show and more like a sports reporter, pushing out stories and special interviews as he completes them. He often interviews EWU coaching staff and players.
- Montana Mint, the guys who posted on our page during the Bobcat game a couple of weeks ago, has turned out to be a great podcast! They can't seem to get Gubrud's name right, although they certainly do try their best throughout the show... but they spend plenty of time talking about Eastern. There are two hosts on the show. One is a Cat fan, who seems to always poke fun at the Griz because, as a cat fan, there is not a lot to lose right now. The other is a Griz fan, who makes it clear that he thinks the Griz are big-brother, only being pestered by the Cats. They are pretty fun to listen to. This is much more of a podcast show rather than reporting. They do a bunch of fun podcasty side conversations like hot-or-nots (for example: "the red field is not hot" even though it is the INFERNO!), and several others. All in all, they talk about EWU and the rest of the Big Sky for the majority of the time, although usually tying it back to the Cats and Griz.
- The last podcast that I listen to is relatively new, and only has one episode so far, but it is called FCS Football Nation (sorry, I got it wrong the first time)It's located on an app called Bumpers. This was put together by a handful of FCS enthusiasts that you can find on the Facebook page: FCS Football Fan's Nation... Some of them are on this page, like KHBEagle! Their team put together a great show on their last episode. It's big picture and focuses on the entire FCS, each conference, and there is a lot of playoff discussion.
