Petrino, the Helena native and former Carroll College QB was an assistant at Weber in the 80's but you can vote for him under "other". :rofl:

Aaron Rodderick was offered the job last Fall. Of course the university, AD, and Rodderick will all deny this, but he didn't want to give up a position coach position at Utah that paid more money than the head coach position at Weber. Interesting... He was in line to be the next OC for the utes and got passed over in favor for Brian Johnson. :roll: Maybe after that he would be interested in coming to Weber after all.


I think its too late in the spring to get a new HC. I'm sure Weber will pull an Arkansas and just rent a coach for a season. I'm guessing either Hammer or Sears will become the Interim HC while Bovee does a nation wide search.

I think unless Weber asks Mac to come back (highly unlikely) that Matt Hammer will be given the Head coaching job for the year.

This would be a TERRIBLE decision by Bovee at this point. Did you not see how the offense performed in Spring Ball? Hammer is not seasoned--nor respected enough by his peers--to take over, even if it is only on an interim basis.
