Congrats to the UNC Bears. I hope they don't get a 16 & can pull off an upset.

I was cheering for Montana, (yes I know that doesnt happen often) and im not completely sure I really want UNC to win, especially since UNC's fans are high on themselves and need to come back down to earth (The next Gonzaga?? really? give me a break, not to mention I'm still a little upset after all the UNC posters saying we had no chance of beating them in our house, then reading some of thier posts(gobears) after we had won). Also I think NAU and the Griz got completely homered by the refs. The refs even admitted it in the game with NAU. And when the ESPN 2 announcers are even talking about the one-sided offiaciating, you know something is up. The BSC officials really babied Bietzel this year, gave him way to much love. That blocking foul called on the Griz's Adams was a BLATANT charge by Beitzle, kinda like the call against Hughey in the game in Ogden. it was only JUSTICE that Scottie B's prayer went in, too bad something similar couldnt happen for the Griz.

UNC shot 70 freethrows total for both nights, NAU and UM shot a combined 36 :thumbdown: The title was given to UNC, and I hope they appreciate it.

So Im gonna say No, for the above reasons.


However, if the Griz manage to make the NIT, I hope they represent well.

Yeah, I'd like to see the Bears do well in the NCAA's. Unfortunately, they are going to be a 16 and have to play their way in, I REALLY hope I'm wrong. That would be an absolute crime. Yes, the Sky's RPI isn't the greatest, and a team that was a MASH unit still ended up getting 3rd place, but even though, the Sky is a lot better than, at least, half of the other DI conferences.

As for last night. Holy Moses, that was a fun game to watch. I didn't really care if either team won or lost, it was just part of the magic that is March Madness. However, I do have to agree with Wildcat. There were three fouls at the end of the game that totally screwed UM. Will Cherry's 5th foul was complete BS he had good defensive position on Beitzel and was moving with him. His arms were extended and he wasn't getting him with the body. I have no idea what the zebra was looking at. Then the "Blocking" foul. YIKES!! I'm sorry...That was a total CHARGE. Wood had perfect position was stationary on the spot and Beitzel was leading with his shoulder and his head down. If you read the definition on the NCAA that is the description for a charge. Wow...I kinda felt bad for UM.

REally it was 36-70 in two games?? LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL Well we all agree on one thing BIG SKY REFS SUCK.

I am seeing on a lot of message boards that people think UNC won't get any better than a 16 seed or they might even get put in the play-in game. I just don't get this thinking. Yes, I understand that the Big Sky was a little down this season, but we typically get thrown a little love once the seeding starts. We've even had as high as a 12 seed. UNC posted a 20+ win season (21 to be exact), is riding a 7-game winning streak, and they were the regular season champs as well as the tourney champs. That last part alone is usually substantial enough to garner a little higher seed in the eyes of the pollsters. If any of the other three teams had won the BSC tourney this year, then yes, I agree with the lower seed. That almost always happens when your tourney champ is not the regular season champ as well. UNC gets a 14 seed, in my opinion. Call me optimistic, but I just think they will get thrown a little love.
