Why are we even playing these people? Non-accredited "school" from out on 92nd and Fremont (where the hell is that???), who has been getting beaten by NAIA DII schools by 30+ points. After our performance in the PK80, this game better be over at halftime (and there better be no significant injuries).

I have to think I could have made up a better team from the pickup games at the Hoop in Beaverton.

It's all Bruce Barnum's fault!

One can but hope that this is the last (if understandable) year of stuff like this. Booking games to schedule around Lewis & Clark was always going to be problematic, as would virtually any other facility PSU rented... it's what happens when you rent.

Hence why I mused about promoting the building, and now hoping the fortunes of this team can be sold, even though it should sell itself... check that. Nothing sells itself anymore. This includes Oregon having as good a team as it had last year and it was later in the season before sellouts happened. Doing some sort of promotion for next year MIGHT pay off if done right. Selling two-thirds of the arena regularly will almost certainly mean never having to go lower than D-1 for counting home games ever again.

Perhaps a costly win.

Not good to see Farris wearing a boot at the end of the game. :-\

So, anyone tell me again why we played this game? Why was this scheduled?

Getting a 75-point win at the expense of your back-up center makes absolutely no sense. Makes about as much sense as scheduling an NAIA football team and having their player run into the planted leg of your all-star kicker, dislocating his knee and keeping him out all season. :ohno: :dunce:
