Portland State @ Boise State

The only good thing is that we are playing with the big guys (if somewhat unsuccessfully): With the exception of Standford, every team we've lost to thus far has a solid winning record.

We got rolled by Washington, Stanford, St. Marys and Washington State. We aren't able to play with the big boys.

I really thought we would win this game. Boise St. is not that good. They had played three other Big Sky teams and not done that well, so I was optimistic that we pull this one out.

Lacking a strong post, I don't expect us to be placed any higher than in the middle or upper middle of the conference this year. Plus, figure in a new coach. Geving worked under Bone, but I wouldn't expect him to be the image of Bone. He's still working with Bone recruits. It'll take a year or two to see what he can do. He did get a couple of promising recruits to work with for next year (at least, verbal). What we've done this year is about what I'd expect. We played Boise as close as the other Big Sky teams. It's going to be tight in the BSC this year, no one team dominant, judging by what we've seen so far.

They might take as an example what the women have been doing on defense. Talk about scrambling!
