Among other things, Vikings are known for shipbuilding. If we refer to the victorious shipbuilders of WWII from all around the nation's ports (and concentrated them into the "Land of Ports"), we can legitimately refers to these amazing workers affectionately as "Vikings."



The American Eagle in the shape of a V for Victory became an enduring symbol within WWII shipbuilding.



It is fitting that the design of the Viking Pavilion highly resembles Portland's WWII Veterans Memorial Colesium.

I would like us to adopt the V for Victory symbol to bring to mind the WWII "Viking" shipbuilders:
