Best thing about tomorrow's game is that Weber will have it's original starting 5 available, close to 100%, and healthy for the first time since December. To bad Hajek isn't available (is there a chance that he'll play??), but it is nice having Mook back. He might not be 100%, but having him dressed gives the Cats that much more depth and toughness.

Is anyone else worried about this game? Granted, Weber has beaten the Vikings already twice this season, but it is really hard to beat a good team 3 times, and worst of all the Vikings are playing their basketball of the season right now. They are peaking at the right time. Regardless, I think the Cats win tomorrow, but it is going to be a battle. After last Tuesday, the Grizz showed how to slow down and beat the Cats. I'm thinking that Greving will employ some of the same tactics: Full-court press or half-court trap, a sticky zone defense, and a box and 1. Weber is at its best when there is a semblance of balance and they are able to open up the court.

i would say the team is at 75%? bull is not 100% and obviously mook isnt after one game back.

i am not worried about this game and i do not mean that as an insult to PSU...but i will be on Wed.

another highlight, weber has never lost to psu in the big sky tourney.

Weber State Tournament Record vs Current Members (28-15)
Eastern Washington 2-3
Idaho State 5-3
Montana 5-5
Montana State 5-3
Northern Arizona 4-1
Northern Colorado 0-0
Portland State 4-0
Sacramento State 3-0

Montana game was a wake up I think. The Cats will be ready and not looking ahead of this game, knowing they need to beat the Vikings to advance. Portland has been on a win streak, but most of their road wins are vs. the bottom teams in the BSC (EWU took them to O/T before a loss). I think the differential is coaching: I have watched Geving for a few years scream (and I think distract his players) by his constant rants at the refs, that kind of emotion runs out in a close game.

Should be a good game, but I do think Weber State will win it.

Keys for the game for WSU I think are to get Tresnak involved as much as possible, stay aggressive (I am guessing PSU will throw some zone in there, can't sit back like they did against Montana), and keep the Vikings out of the lane. Odum is second only to Lillard in the Big Sky in his ability to get to the lane and either get an easy shot or draw a foul. They have to make PSU beat them from the outside.

Weber needs no other motivation than remembering what Montana did to them last tuesday, it was embarassing. Weber better want to come out and prove a point.
