I know that it's Cal week, but win, lose, or draw, the WSU game is much more important than the Cal game.

Weber looks bad thus far, but I'll be watching to see how they do against Southern Utah...

despite the cal game, if we keep consistency this game should be an easy win

If I know Coach Walsh well enough he will not assume anything is an easy win for us even SAC State! We have been in the running for the playoffs before and lost our chance by loosing to a should of been easy team Weber State back in 02. I heard coach yell this out on the field in the beginning of fall practice "Every game is a playoff game, we loose we are out of the playoffs"!! I like the mind set that he is creating for every week, our momentum is increasing every day. I might feel bad for Weber State when it actually come down to playing time, because if we come off of a big loss against Cal I know the guys are going to be gearing up to put the hurt on the next team they play to prove that they deserve to be in the running for a championship this season!!

Webers Defense is good this year but the have alot of young guys on offense that are struggling to make things work.

I think our Defense will shut them down pretty bad and if there defense gets tired from being on the field 80% of the game we will capitalize big on them!!

alright, I would expect Freeman to start unless we get some good news about sawyer, it will be tough to win at weber with our running game not established and sawyer benched

If Rob can play like he did against California I can see us pulling this one out

I really hope Sawyer is o.k

I really think Sawyer is going to be alright. I was lucky enough to be able to attend the Cal game this weekend and right after that 1st quarter Sawyer was back standing the whole game. He's a tough guy..... he'll be back.

I'd much rather see him play next week than Freeman, although Freeman held his own this weekend.

welcome Keta, thanks for the info, this game has been put behind us but man did Cal leave there mark

IMO, I think we should let Freeman play this game, rest Sawyer, and hope he can play against the Griz, cause we all know that's the one that matters

Weber ran pretty well against Southern Utah. We'll need to get them know early in the game that they'll not be putting up numbers like that against us.

I agree, alot of study will have to happen in the next week, I'm not worried on D, but will be key on offense to even think about winning the game

This is a very anticipatory week to hear the status on Sawyer and Mu Ali. I curious to hear if Mu is going to be out on the practice field running with the rest of the team or not. If he does I wonder if walsh will play him this at Weber. I know that Sawyer's injury is still unkown and he was seen walking on the sideline during the Cal game, but I'm sure that if walsh does not feel confident starting him this saturday he will start Freeman in hopes that it will give Sawyer enough time to come back for the Montana game.

Freeman did a good job filling in for the Cal game he will be good enough to take on Weber this weekend!

I trust Freeman with this game, hope he can get it done

I think freeman will be fine , if he can play against a pac-10 school he play against a big sky school.

From the coaches show it sounds like Bobby will be getting the start at tailback. Seems that Walsh is not happy about nineteen carries and two fumbles by Magee.

Actually I was wondering if coach was going to try that scheme with him as tailback. They ran a couple of plays during Cal game where Bobby was fullback and Somberlin was tailback, I would like to see them run the ball with it reversed with Somberlin as fullback and bobby as tailback. Bobby has a ton of potential, he is very mobile, very quick, catches the ball well, and blocks really good too!! I foresee him becoming a really good running back in he next two seasons!!

Even though we have not put up any large numbers on the ground like we did last year but we have an amazing depth of running backs who can play at any time. I think alot of our low numbers on the ground does slightly ride on that our O-Line needs to do a little better creating holes for the running backs. Yes Cal was really big and physical but our O-Line is big and physical too. From what I have watched some of the guys just get a little lazy on execution. If they could step it up just one notch we will definitely have the best offensive line in the Bigsky and could even be in 1AA.

Man, it seems like it is taking forever for this weekend to get here. I can't wait to see how the Vikings respond to the adversity of injuries and playing on the road in the rockies. PSU has tended to have a difficult time at those places...WSU, ISU, MSU, UM.

Come on guys, play your butts off!!!!

It will be here before we know it. I'm still trying to figure our what I'm doing for the game I want to get together with a bunch of my Viking buddies and purchase the game through bigskytv.org but alot of them are really busy with work.

This weekend is a very anticipated weekend to open up bigsky conference play. I'm really interested to see who comes up with the W for the Eastern WA and Montana State game.

I wonder if there is going to be very many PSU fans traveling to Utah to watch the Viks play.
