What to expect here? They have a soft schedule in my opinion. They have two decent wins this year: NAU on Thursday and they beat an average La Tech team on a neutral court at a holiday tournament. The rest of the victories are against non-DI teams or really bad D-I teams. So, their 7-8 record is not that impressive.

They rank near the bottom in the country in assists per game, near the top in points per game, and in the middle for rebounds. It looks they don't play team ball that well. They have a couple of weapons, but don't play really well together. I think Rahe's system will frustrate the crap out of this team. The key to this game will be slowing the game down, protecting the ball and limiting turnovers, and patiently working the system to get good shots. Teams like PSU have a hard time with methodical teams that play as a cohesive unit. I like Weber's chances in this game.
Prediction: Weber 68 PSU 60

Play solid defense and limit PSU's top guys Odum and Tapscott and the Cats should be fine. I hate playing in Portland. It is a hard gym to play in and the one Cat who has had a lot of success there recently isn't available (Bullinger).

Their is the potential that game could end up being an high scoring affair. Frankly, I think, one of two things will happen. Either Weber will run with PSU, which gives the Vikings a slight advantage and is like playing with fire, or the Cats slow it down and run their half-court offense. I think the Cats play a lot of zone in this one. Make the Vikings beat us from the perimeter; one of their biggest weaknesses, or from passing, their other biggest weakness. Their is potential that this game could get really ugly for the Vikings.

Once again for anyone wanting to i will be hooking up my laptop to a TV for anyone wanting to watch it at my house

weber vs psu
27-11 overall
18-1 at home
9-10 in portland

we have won 5 in a row at home (rahe hasn't lost at home to psu)
we have lost our last 2 in portland

rahe
9-3 vs psu
Big Sky Record 68-24
Big Sky Home Record 43-6
Big Sky Road Record 25-18 - very impressive.

Another team that is extremely tough to beat on thier home court, We are gonna need yet another solid all around performance again, I see us winning, but it will be another close game.

Vikings are very good offensively. Lozeau has been struggling the past couple of games but he is solid. Chehales Tapscott is a good, athletic frontcourt player. In the backcourt, Charles Odum is great at getting to the rim and scoring... he is shooting over 65% on 2s this year!

The flipside is that their defense stinks. Weber should put up a ton of points against them, I think. PSU has given up 90+ multiple times this year.

Weber State 84, Portland State 75

We should never have trouble with a press of any kind. We have very tallented guards and bigs who can set a pic. I'm sure that the coaches have had the team working on it in practice. I just hope that we aggressively attack any press thrown at us. I want us to be dunking it in their face every time they try to press us. If you want teams to quit pressing, that is the only way to do it.

Trying to watch with B2 TV. I log in and it tells me that I don't have an available package. I don't know how it got that info on me, but I'm feeling a little embarassed about it.

Their support site sucks and they haven't responded to my inquirey. What do I need to do? :yikes:

crazy first half!!!!!!!! both teams shooting over 60% and both teams combine for 4 turnovers!!!!

halfcourt shot was awesome!!! lillard is shooting 7-8 3's. his career high for a single game was 6 in 3 yrs. its only halftime!!!!! remember when bull hit 5-5 from 3 at psu as a fresh?

Are you kidding me with that last shot? Unbelievable! Was that Lillard's best half of his career?

Yes, but I missed the last shot :( what happened?
Turn around jumper from just inside the half court line as time expired. Nothing but net.

lillard needed about 47 points to move up to #5 in school history for points scored. i guess he could get that tonight with 23 at the half. lol. his career high is 42 pts vs SJSU

we need to get rid of 1280. its one thing to have a few glitches but it isnt even reliable. i tuned in for the halftime show and there was sound about half the time. that is a joke.
