PSU is what we thought they would be. They play fast, crash the boards, and press. They do, however, give up a lot of layups and open shots when you break that press. They also give up fast breaks when they don't get the offensive board. Today, they had a bunch of forced and unforced turnovers.
We may see a similar style a few times this year.
It will be interesting to see if they make any adjustments for the SUnday game. I don't expect any big changes.
I sort of forgot about Morris. He didn't seem like a walkon, due to being a 5th year guy.BigWaldO said:oldrunner said:We played everyone who was available. When was the last time we saw a walkon get time on a road league game?

Very impressive win tonight. Amazing what can happen when you recruit good players with size and skill. Porter is legit. The last time a walk on got into a road game though was actually last season as it seems Morris played at SUU.
Portland State however is a horrific shooting team and while I think they are a decent team physically and athletically, I don’t see them finishing better than 8th if they continue to shoot like that. Really looking forward to seeing how we do against a top league team.
