Portland State

Still no workie for me. Decent start, Eags currently up by 8....big question will be whether we'll see another second half collapse. :|

Up by 12 with 3 minutes to go......nails.
Larry was so used to EWU losing, he just said "Eagles trail in this ba..." before correcting himself.

Looks like we're gonna win this one. Good one to win (Dam Cup), I guess. :)

I don't watch a lot of basketball, but I watched the whole second half and it seemed like we played pretty well. Granted, Portland State is really friggin bad, but any win will do at this point. Seems like our shots were falling at a much better clip than we've seen recently.

If I'm not mistaken, Eastern cliches the Dam Cup with either a women's b-ball win at home v. Portland State, or a men's b-ball victory on the road.

If our v-ball team had shown any signs of life, this wouldn't even be close. Or women's soccer. It's almost like we spot them a 3 point lead every year as neither of those programs have been worth much in a long time. I'm not sure what happened with volleyball, because we were such a dominant program for so long, and then it just completely fell apart at the seams. Glad to see Wade Benson is back; I think he'll get that ship righted fairly quickly.

We are back !!!!!!! :D

I am so happy tonight. Gonna open up an RC cola and add something special to it. I knew it was a matter of time. Good job!

Great to have a win.
I was nervous too after half time but now that the boys remember what it feels like to win, hope that this is the turning point we all are hoping for.
Eagles are not out of it yet but a loss tonight would have been devastating :(
A win is a win is a win :D
Go eags :thumb:

The guys played hard just about the entire game. It was pretty fast paced game and both teams got pretty winded but the Eagles kept hustling and playing together. Lots of smiles, guys were having fun. Hope it continues.

Definitely much better tonight. It was good to see. I thought Winford's defense on PSU's guard was really good. I think we can safely put Venky into the conversation as one of the best freshmen we have had.
