Portland StateU. - Big Sky week 2

Does the Griz curse (teams beating U of M then losing the next week) come true for NAU?

Does Portland State's prolific offense keep them in the game? Or give them a road win in Flagstaff?

Does the community of Flagstaff step up and put some more butts in the seats for home support?

Portland State is better team than their record shows. This will not be even remotely easy for the Lumberjacks!

Thoughts?

I hate these games the most. There is always the chance or a hangover after winning a big game like against Montana. It seems like teams remain in the clouds and get too confident against their next opponent. I hope this is not the case with NAU. Portland State is no pushover. They are a very good team and if NAU is still celebrating last week's win, PSU will take this one.

I would like to see the Skydome full. Seems like they are trying to win back fans from the community at NAU. I hope all their efforts pay off and people begin to support their university. NAU puts competitive teams forward in every sport. We are one of the most well rounded schools in terms of sport success. I sure would like to see the community begin to recognize this and show some support.

4-1. Color me impressed. Listened to the game on the radio but missed the tv/internet broadcast. I wish NAU TV's website did replays of the game.

Now the Jacks are onward to my mom's North Dakota homeland in two weeks. I drove around the outside of Alerus Field (UND's dome) this summer but wasn't able to go inside. North Dakotans are passionate football fans and their dome will be rocking. Sheer distance alone leads me to believe this will be a tough game. UND throws the ball around well and it will be their homecoming so you know they'll be up for this game.

Yea, this one will be tough. Who you got Jack?

I say, NAU 24 Dakota 21. NAU wins it on a field goal in the 4th.

I'm gonna cheat and wait to see how UND does this weekend in their game before making a prediction.

UND will not be an easy game. Nor will the S Utah or Cal Poly games at home. ISU, UC Davis and UNC may not be tearing up the league at the moment but any team in this conference is capable of pulling an upset at any moment. No such thing as an easy game with the travel involved and the increasing parity in the Big Sky.

I'll wait til next Sunday to make a prediction. NAU's defense has been playing well but UND has been putting up crazy numbers on offense but have been giving up lots of points at the same time. I'm leaning towards it being a track meet.
